Most of the 2020 Pride Houston celebration had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you're planning to visit Austin for the annual Austin Pride Week, during August 2021, there's no shortage of festivities planned. The 2019 theme was 'Summer of '69.' The year before that, Pride celebrated 40 years.

Diverse-City: Together We Rise - This theme is designed to represent the melting pot that is Houston as we strive for total equity and equality.

Pride Unbound - This theme is designed to represent the manifestation of the hope for progress, celebrate healing the nation and honor all who have spoken their truth, past and present. Festivities include ten floats, one marching band, horses from the Dallas Gay Rodeo Association, Grand Marshal, viewing stand in Vera Minter Park for dignitaries, young adults art show, face paintings, vendor booths and food trucks.
